About KISS Home |
DocumentationThere are two documents, available in either Postcript or Portable Document Format (PDF). Postscript files were subsequently compressed with gzip. The User's Manual, teaches how the KISS kernel works and shows how to use all the functions. The Man Pages are individual function descriptions of all the KISS kernel system calls.

Reading PDF Files
Gzip CompressionAll Unix flavors should come with gzip and gunzip preinstalled. These are file compression utilities somewhat superior to the venerable zip. Windows users should download WinZip, which is capable of decompressing .gz files.
Postcript ViewersThese documents can be sent directly to any postscript printer, or they can be viewed on a computer with an appropritate viewer. Viewers for several operating systems are available. Postscript viewers have the added ability to view Acrobat PDF files. Visit the Ghostscript, Ghostview and GSview pages for more information. To read Postscript documents under Windows 3.1/95/98/NT or OS/2, you need to download both GSview and AFPL Ghostscript. You should install/execute gs703w32.exe first followed by gsv40w32.exe. In order to print using your default windows printer driver, select the mswinpr2 printer inside GSview. To read Postcript documents under flavors of Unix, use either Ghostview or GV. GV is also available under VMS. Both of these use Ghostscript. |
